A win-win …

[Paul wrote in a letter to the Philippians] “They didn’t shut me up; they gave me a pulpit! Philippians 1:22

Paul wrote to the Philippians from a jail cell. In many ways, being imprisoned helped his cause. People heard about him and became interested in why he felt so strong about teaching about Jesus that he would risk being put in jail.

imagePaul experienced a unique win-win situation: die and be with Jesus or live and help others to live. I can’t think of any situation or adventure in which I’ve had a choice to make that would affect other people, and either way I came out a winner.

Should God call me to preach in the pulpit and then be removed after opening my mouth, I’d go to my computer and write the message. Then, I’d share it on all the social media websites. That would be a win-win for me–and hopefully, others.

Lord, help us see opportunities in which we can share the Good News. Amen.
