“God’s angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray.” Psalm 34:7 (The Message Bible)
I believe the circle of protective angels God sends to us is like the wagons that formed a circle around the campfire every night after men, women, children, horses, cows had spent a long day on the trail to a land of hope out West. The circle of wagons gave the people protection from all kinds of danger and allowed the weary people to rest for the next day of travel.
Our circle of protection has space for us to venture out, to yearn and dream. Guardian angels won’t stop us from growing in who we are and what we were placed on earth to do. I believe when I’m venturing off into dangerous territory, they will steer me back into the protective arms of God.
Dear Lord, send your best angels to protect me from myself. Amen.
