‘Chillaxing’ by the Lake — Daily Meditation Moment

“GOD proves to be good to the man who passionately waits, to the woman who diligently seeks. Lamentations 3:25 (The Message Bible)

Waiting and seeking…two hard things to do today. In the book of Lamentations, the people struggled to survive each day. Hope for their future came through waiting and seeking.

I’m not a patient person (except in grocery store lines). But I am a seeker. Therefore, I love my new iPad. It gives me information faster than my laptop. I can tap a button and check in on my Facebook buddies or retrieve an e-mail almost as quickly as it landed in my inbox. Why am I so obsessed with instant gratification? Perhaps I’ve forgotten that anything worth having is worth waiting for. I need to remember that e-mails can sit quietly in my inbox without disturbing anyone and my Facebook friends will not “unfriend” me if I don’t post within twenty-four hours.

Today, I will try to “chillax” (a word I learned from my daughter). To my friends, I wish for you a day to chill out and relax, too.

Dear Lord, give us a sense of urgency to spend more time with you. Amen.[box] What do you do to “chillax”?[/box]
