Covering My Blind Side — Daily Meditation Moment

“God threw himself in with them, got behind them, urging them to stay with it the rest of their lives.” Acts 11:23 (The Message Bible)

When I first started to write (at the age of 60), I knew little about the craft, except that I wanted, or I should say, needed to write. I wrote every chance I got–on napkins, scrap paper–and words flowed a hundred words a minute like a raging river. Much of what I wrote during those first years came from deep within my soul. I felt as if God was behind my writing, which I am grateful for, because it took a while for me to realize that I needed to learn a lot about writing. Without Devine support, I may have quit writing before getting to the point of getting my work published.

Any challenge experienced in work, play, or in relationships, goes better when we ask God to become a partner. Talk to God; listen for answers. If you don’t hear anything, it may be that you aren’t listening hard enough, or perhaps you don’t want to hear what God has to say.

Lord, thank you for protecting my blind side and for pushing me toward my goal. Amen.
