“There will be a highway called the Holy Road …. It’s for God’s people exclusively—impossible to get lost on this road. Not even fools can get lost on it.” Isaiah 35:8 (The Message Bible)
I pride myself in being able to navigate without a G.P.S. squawking at me, but Saturday night I wish I had tucked our G.P.S. into my suitcase. Even with a detailed city map, our efforts to get from the south side of Des Moines by the airport to Johnston (north of the city) went like this: We drove south, west, east, north, west, north, east, and north. You get the picture. The way home was simple: south, east, west, south.
My faith journey often resembles the tracks we made in getting to our destination Saturday night. Fortunately, along the way, with a lot of prayer and meditation, the path becomes easier.
Lord, bless the challenges I face along my faith journey. Amen.
