Friendships after Fifty …

“Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, …. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.” Philippians 3:14

imageFriends, don’t get me wrong, I understand that by writing a blog every day, I am responsible for what I write. I am no expert! I try to make comments that Snopes won’t challenge, but am happy to hear comments from readers if I spark something controversial to them. I write because I have my eye on the goal—to give those who can use a minute of meditation a spiritual boost for their day.

My goal for next year is to write a book about friendships after fifty. I can’t write this book from only my experience. I need contributions of first-person stories from people who are compassionate about how they found new friendships or about how losing long-time friendships affected their life as a senior. If you have a story to share, please email them to me at lindagillis@yahoo.com.

Dear Lord, let me be reminded that you are the expert and I’m only an apprentice. Amen.
