“I look behind me and you’re there, then up ahead and you’re there, too—your reassuring presence, coming and going.” Psalm 139:5 (The Message Bible)
It’s easy to see where God has been with me during rough times. The “hind sight is 20-20” syndrome.
But it is harder to see God in my future. Intellectually, I know that God is everywhere and resides in my heart and soul.
I’m editing the third book of the “Incidents from the Church Office” series. It’s been comfortable writing about what I know best, but I sense it is time to break into something new as a writer—could it be fiction? Only God knows what is in my future. In verse 4 of the same Psalm, it says, “You [God] know everything I’m going to say before I start the first sentence.” I guess that means God also knows what I’ll pen next.
Dear God, thank you for your encompassing love for me. Amen.
