God unfolds grace …

[Apostle Paul told the Corinthians] “So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace.” 2 Corinthians 4:16

An acquaintance of mind is very ill with leukemia. After spending most of this year hospitalized, she returned home and even found enough strength to go to her weekly card group. But she became exhausted and was disappointed that she had to leave early to go home and rest. Soon, she was back in the hospital with new health issues. “How can I do on?” she asks. Life is hard enough without being constantly reminded that there is not much hope for the future.

When we are weak, whether from a physical or mental illness, or if situational, such as when financial situations shows no sign of improving or stressed out over a job or family matter, we may look “okay” on the outside, but the heart may be breaking and the soul suffering.

I wonder how I would react during hard times if I was not aware of the grace of God which he unfolds daily. I have been blessed with friends, family members, and ministers who came to my side when I needed them the most. And, I am grateful when I can share God’s promise with someone who is suffering.

Lord, help me minister to those who need a boost. Amen.
