Not Welcome — Daily Meditation Moment

“If you’re not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw. Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way.” Mark 6:12 (The Message Bible)

For the past year, I’ve been posting comments and offering inspiration from my experience working as a church secretary on a Facebook group for church secretaries. I “like” or comment frequently to encourage other secretaries when they post a plea for help or make a comment about something they don’t understand. Rarely, do I get a response. I have concluded that this group only wants to be heard and not be ministered to. My ministry “Souly-4-You” can’t be spoon fed to secretaries or anyone else. It will only be received if the Holy Spirit opens the way.

Unlike the disciples who were encouraged to move on if they were not be received, I have no plans to abandon the church secretaries. If only one person reads my comments and takes it to her or his heart, that’s good enough for me.

Dear Lord, I feel that you have called me to ministry for church support staff. Give me patience in the process! Amen.
