Procrastinating about Procrastination — Daily Meditation Moment

“The best thing you can do right now is to finish what you started last year and not let those good intentions grow stale.” 2 Corinthians 8:10-11 (The Message Bible)

In preparing for a retreat, I ran across an article about procrastination, a “dis-ease” that robs the hearts and souls of people in a rut. I admit that I am a 50/50 procrastinator. Half the time my right hand is sorting, filing, and tossing things off my desk, and the left stashes the rest of the stuff into a bin to get it out of sight. I feel good about what I’ve accomplished–until I see the mess in my to-do bin. “I’ll get to it tomorrow,” I tell myself. But as in the musical, Annie, tomorrow never comes.
