The real 12 days of Christmas …

“She gave birth to a son, her firstborn. She wrapped him in a blanket and laid him in a manger, because there was no room in the hostel.” Luke 2:6-7

Christ is bornMerry Christmas!

We have arrived at the manger. Let us continue our faith journey for the Twelve Days of Christmas, based on religious symbolism from www.carols.org.uk:

On the first day of Christmas, God (my true love) gave to me a BABY—Jesus the Savior;
On the second day of Christmas, God gave to me The Old and New Testaments;
On the third day of Christmas, God gave me Faith, Hope and Charity;
On the fourth day of Christmas, God gave to me  Four Gospels;
On the fifth day of Christmas, God gave to me Five Books of the Old Testament;
On the sixth day of Christmas, God gave to me  Six Days of Creation;
On the seventh day of Christmas, my True Love gave to me Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit;
On the eighth day of Christmas, God gave to me  Eight Beatitudes;
On the ninth day of Christmas, God gave to me Fruits of the Holy Spirit;
On the tenth day of Christmas, God gave to me Ten Commandments;
On the eleventh day of Christmas, God gave to me the Eleven Faithful Apostles; and
On the twelfth day of Christmas, God gave to me the Twelve Points of Doctrine in the Apostle’s Creed.

Thank you, Lord, for our journey to the manger. May we find LOVE, JOY, and PEACE in the Christ Child. Amen.
