Trusting the Right God — Daily Meditation Moment

“It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.” Hebrew 4:6 (The Message Bible)

A friend of mine said she doesn’t trust God anymore, and I replied saying,” I don’t trust your god either.

The truth is that there will be times when you can’t receive the grace that God offers because you can’t or don’t want to talk to him about how you feel.

It is easy to understand how a devastating blow in life—such as losing a child or being very ill—makes someone temporarily lose faith. It’s hard to grow faith while the soul is sleeping in a deep pit. But whatever causes the interruption in your faith life, God doesn’t care! He never abandons you and is willing to wait until the ice in your soul begins to melt.

Dear Lord, thank you for being present to us when we can’t be present to you. Amen.
