What do you hear?

“How can they hear if nobody tells them?” Romans 10:15

iPad 6-13 147Have you heard this before? “If a man says something in the woods and there is no woman there, is he still wrong?” Supposedly, a man by the name of Steven Wright is credited for this quote. And, from my research, no one has proved it to be true.

The same question surfaces about people who have never heard about God and Jesus. Can they be held responsible for their own salvation if no one has told them? In Romans 10:16, Paul says, “And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it?”

Many of us have had the opportunity to tell children, either our own or through teaching Sunday school, to tell the story about Jesus. However, I have yet to come across someone who has never heard of God–and I’ve never asked, either.

God, give me the opportunity to tell someone the good news about Jesus! Amen.
